Cynthia López has a passion for motivational issues because at some point in her life they were useful to her on a personal level, and she also has a vocation for issues related to youth since she is an accomplished Mathematics teacher at a high school in Miami. This brilliant Venezuelan-American has combined both interests in a platform that focuses on the problem of adolescence. It is called «You Lead Up» and designs interactive workshops aimed specifically at teenagers.

«Depression and anxiety have increased among the population after the Covid-19 crisis and this includes young people as well, of course,» explains the educator.

«You Lead Up» offers several workshops with varied themes and results. For example, in one called «Dare To Dream,» the teacher and her partner, psychologist Diana Quilarque, motivate young people to become aware of the «personal power» that all human beings possess and that allows them to achieve goals and break down obstacles, as long as they have a plan.

«You Lead Up» guides people between the ages of 12 and 17, and is seven years old. Their workshops last approximately four hours. «There are games, exercises, a lot of music, and a lot of laughter,» Cynthia describes. While preparing a series of workshops for the coming months, Cynthia keeps in touch with the public through her Instagram account @youleadup in which, in addition, she makes live broadcasts and answers questions on Tuesdays, at 8 pm, Miami time.
